Do you have contracts?

We don’t believe in contracts. We want you to stay and continue to train at Fitbox because you love it and because you get results. If you need to exit your membership, or if you think Fitbox is not right for you, no problems. You can cancel any time. No questions asked. No hassles.

Do you have sign-up fees?

We know that getting started with healthier choices can be really tough, and many people usually fail on their promises to get fit, and some even have countless attempts to keep healthy. That’s why we don’t charge for sign up fees. We want to make your journey to starting at the gym as easy as possible.

What sort of support can I expect from coaches?

Unlike most gyms, we actually care when you can’t come in to class. You’re more than a number or another ‘customer’ to us. We are all together on this journey to become healthier and fitter, and we simply love doing life together. Come in for your first class and not only will you see our incredible community, but also feel to become one with the team and family. At Fitbox, it’s always people first and fitness follows.

Can I pay weekly, fortnightly or monthly?

Your membership will be deducted on the same day each month. If you would like to set up an alternative payment schedule, please have a chat to us.

Can I pay eftpos/cash rather than direct debit?

Direct debit is one of the easiest ways to ensure you keep up with your membership payments each month. To discuss an alternative arrangement, come and see us at the front desk.

Are there any transaction fees on top of the membership?

We do not charge transaction fees when deducting your membership payments.

Can I put my membership on hold if I can’t make it and how long for?

You are able to put your membership on hold for up to eight weeks if you are injured, busier than usual or expecting to spend time out of town. Please complete the Membership Hold Form two weeks in advance of your hold period and we will arrange to suspend your payments. We’ll need a start and finish date as we will automatically to restart your membership when your hold period is complete.

We can only put a membership on hold for a maximum of eight weeks. Anything more is considered a cancellation, which will be carried out in accordance with our normal cancellation terms. Of course, we would love for you to come back and will be happy to discuss renewing your membership at any time.

What’s the process if I need to cancel?

To cancel your membership, complete the cancellation request form on our website two weeks before you plan to stop coming to our gym. Once submitted of our friendly team will contact you to arrange your cancellation. Any cancelled members will be charged at current membership rates if they decide to rejoin.

Can I come in and try a class?

Yes, we offer a free trial class to anyone who wants to try Fitbox for the first time. Simply complete the Free Trial class form and book in a time to come in for your first class. After you have attended your free class we encourage you to become part of the community so you can make the most of what our gym has to offer.

Will I get big and bulky like a bodybuilder?

No, unlike bodybuilders, who train in a more isolated, specific way, we train using functional movements. That is, movements that your body was designed to do. This is the most effective way to build strength, burn fat, and increase cardio capacity. ( and we add in the fun for even extra smiles!)

Will it be hard?

Every workout is designed to be challenging whilst also being scalable to your own personal ability. You will be challenged everyday you come to a class but this will get you exceptional results.

What are the classes like?

Each session includes an extended warm up, skills practice, coaching of technique, the main WOD (Workout Of the Day) and cool down and stretch.

What should I expect at my first workout?

Each session is a fun and challenging experience. Classes start with a dynamic warm-up to get you loosened up and ready to train. After the warm up you will be taken through what the program is for the particular day /class. Once you are ready with your scaling options ( Coach will look after this for you!) and you have ran through the movements the entire class will tackle the WOD together. At the end it’s high fives and fist bumps all round before we hit a cool down and stretch on our upper floor.

Do I need prior experience to take classes?

No. New members participate in our 1-1 BASECAMP SESSIONS and then transition into general classes.  Exercises are scaled to improve your basic ability ( and needs!. This sets you up for success for the months and years to come as you progress with your strength & fitness.

Do I have to be fit before I try a classes?

No! … Really you don’t have to be at all!

There is a common misconception that you need some basic level of fitness before starting S&C. The truth is that it is for everyone! You can start the journey where you are today and, if you continue to follow our program, it’s likely that you will get in to the best physical and emotional shape of your life.

Our community is comprised people that had never stepped foot into a gym and people with physical ailments right through to those who use our training program to aid them with their chosen Sport outside the walls of Fitbox. Our program is designed in such a way that it will get results for any committed individual.

Should I warm up and stretch before class?

Yes … providing you want to see the best progress in class! 😉

During your 1-1 Basecamp Sessions,  Our Team will show you the warm-up we use to release and unlock the body after a long day at the office // life. We also do a group warm-up in the first 5mins of each class … All we ask is that you come in ready to do some work!

Do you recommend training daily?

No. Maximum benefits are derived from intensity and recovery. We offer a complete health and fitness program, and so we recommend that you take time to recover so that you perform your best at every session. This will prevent injury and backsliding from overtraining.  On the other hand it is important that your training is consistent. Generally, we recommend our members train 3 days on and 1 day off.

What can I expect after my first FitBox Session?

It’s our goal that you will feel a part of our amazing community of member ( we’re like family!). You will have certainly learned a ton of new skills and met some great people. It is important to note that you will likely feel a bit sore as well. Particularly if this is the first time you have done physical exercise in this way or if it has been a long time since you have trained. It is important that you move through this soreness and get back moving as soon as possible. The more you move – the better you’ll feel! So make sure you are aware of this before your first class, make sure  you are intelligent about the intensity you train with on your first session, and then make sure you come back in as soon as possible to continue your training. Consistency is key!
